– Brian’s Biography –
When I was 200 I used to say, “Well at least I’m not 250!” Then when I reached 250, I said, “Well, at least I’m not 300!”. When I hit 300, even I was surprised. I wasn’t going to let myself get any higher.
I’ve been doing Atkins since October 2, 2003 and have really seen alot of results, including 90 lost pounds, a total of 28 inches and my Body Fat has gone from 29% to 22%. I have even created this site so that I can continue to help as many people as possible achieve the same results that I have seen.
All in all I’ve introduced about 20 friends (whether they are lurking or posting members) to all of my Atkins e-friends. This is really the place for me to be and I encourage all I meet to get to know all of us here at Atkins All The Way. Everyone that contributes to this site has completed half the battle. The Atkins WOE would be so much harder for me to do if I had to do it alone.
I even met my girlfriend on an old Atkins site and she has followed me here. So in that respect, I’m glad I was fat, because I never would have met her if I wasn’t.
I found out about Podcasting from a story featuring Adam Curry in Wired magazine in the beginning of January, 2005. I downloaded and quickly became a fan of several shows. I wanted to do my own show, but not be like everyone else. I decided to create an Atkins based Podcast, but I wanted to focus on the Atkins All The Way site membership and branch out slowly.
My first show was Feb. 26, 2005 and it was rather crude and unprofessional and took me 4 hours to do, not including preparation. With each show I’m getting better and learning how to do the production quicker. I’m now down to 2 hours (including prep), but I know I can do better, If I wasn’t such an “Umm”er.
I hope you enjoy the Podcast. I enjoy doing them. In business, I’m a Technical Writer that telecommutes for Thomson Financial in Manhattan, NY. I also enjoy Music, Movies, spending time with my girlfriend and her kids, Computers, Cooking, and just about everything else you can imagine.
