– Audio Equipment for the Show –
Here’s what I use to create Atkins All The Way Weekly Wrapup:
Now, let me start by saying that you don’t need all this hardware. I used a USB headset and Audacity for my first 5 Podcasts. All you need to do is download Audacity and have a way to use a microphone to input sound on your computer and you can Podcast. But on with the gadgets…
Hardware:

First, my mixer is a Behringer UB1204 Pro Eurorack 12 Input Mixer.
This is a mixer whose small size belies its incredible versatility and audio performance. You get 8 balanced high-headroom line inputs, 4 Invisible Mic Preamps (IMPs), 2 aux sends per channel (1 pre fader for monitoring applications and 1 post fader for external FX devices). There are 2 subgroups with separate outputs for added routing flexibility and 2 multi-functional stereo aux returns with flexible routing round off the list of high-quality features.

My Mic is a Behringer B2 Pro Studio Condenser Microphone with Shockmount
The B-2 Pro is a high-performance dual-diaphragm studio condenser microphone. I’m amazed by its uncompromising audio performance how much it picks up in the room. The B-2 Pro provides a slightly pronounced 12 kHz range, producing the kind of “presence” that often eliminates the need for high-frequency EQing that raises the rooms noise level
All of this connects to my computer via cables and a piece of hardware called a USB Interface.

MAudio MobilePre 2X2 16-Bit USB Audio Interface
MobilePre USB is the audio interface I use. It has a total of three kinds of audio inputs and outputs and provides alot of lexibility for any application including two on-board microphone/instrument preamps and high-impedance instrument inputs ideal for connecting guitars and basses.
Software:
Simply put, I use Audacity and it’s free here
